- Abstract
- This article examines the ways in which unorthodox Christian teachings are perceived among various groups of population in Mordovia. The author analyzes the specificities of ethnic and cultural identity in Mordovian religious communities. She focuses on the representation of ethnic and religious identities in actual religious practices, and discusses the issue of interaction between the followers of different Christian teachings in a monoethnic social milieu.
