"Russian Literature" is the first and only periodical in the country devoted to the history of Russian literature at all stages of its development. One of the current tasks of the journal is to represent the current state of academic literary studies, the most striking achievements in its individual areas. The chronicles of current conferences and reviews of recently published scientific monographs and collections published on the pages of the publication also serve this purpose, along with the informational one.
