- Abstract
- The results of comparing the frequency of using special sociological theories by the content analysis method of the journals “Sociological research”, “American Journal of Sociology” and “American Sociological Review” for 1990-2010 are presented. At the first stage, special theories used by the authors of the articles were identified. Indicator – the frequency of articles with the use of a particular theory. At the second stage, the most frequently encountered special sociological theories were analyzed for the presence or absence of pronounced paradigmatic foundations.
