Abstract
The author analyzes the contradictions between modern processes of family individualization and family discourses, which are fixed in the state neotraditionalist rhetoric. It is noted that family policy in Ukraine is mostly Pro-natalist and has little impact on the quality of life of families with children, as well as on solving the problem of balancing parenthood and professional employment.
