Abstract

After winning the elections, each new government begins to form the priorities of domestic and foreign policy. The authorities are guided by the ideology and traditions of their party, the assessment of global challenges, their own vision of the national interests of the country and its role in the world. The foreign policy program of the Liberal Party, which won the elections in 2021, was outlined in a special section of its electoral platform, which is called "A Principled Approach to Foreign Policy". The foreign policy agenda of the Government of Justin Trudeau maintains continuity of principles and contains new approaches which take into account the realities of the modern world order.
